In recent years, the U.S. has significantly tightened its monitoring of standards and UL certification. Local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) have since enforced UL compliance much more strictly. If an electrical system does not fully meet these requirements, certification will be denied, commissioning will not be permitted, and costly modifications will be required. A preliminary inspection of your equipment by UL ensures you are on the safe side.

The most effort is usually required for the inspection of the control panel. Pre Field Evaluation

During a Pre-Field Evaluation, an experienced Underwriters Laboratories (UL) representative inspects your equipment to ensure compliance with UL standards. You will then receive a detailed report outlining any issues found. At Krayer, we support this process not only by providing the electrical schematics, but also by maintaining direct contact with the right UL experts as part of our comprehensive UL services. If desired, we can handle all formalities for you – leaving only the necessary adjustments to be made on your end.

Limited Production Certification

A Limited Production Certification (LPC) offers maximum assurance when exporting your equipment to the United States. The approval process is carried out by Underwriters Laboratories in Germany and confirmed with an official UL inspection label. To facilitate this, UL coordinates all open questions directly with the AHJ at the destination. In the U.S., the entire equipment is then treated as a single component. Even if the equipment is relocated at a later date, the LPC remains valid.
