What is certified?
Krayer Systemtechnik GmbH certifies self-manufactured control panels for standard applications
- UL 508A mounting plates with assembled control (open control panel) (NITW)
- UL 508A enclosed control panels (NITW)
Further control panels for use in hazardous locations “UL Hazardous Locations”:
- Control panels with barriers to hazardous locations: UL 698A – “Relating to Hazardous Locations” (NRBX)
- Control panels for use in hazardous locations: UL 1203 – “Use in Hazardous Locations” (NNNY)
What preparatory work is required?
Naturally, we require certain information from our customers to manufacture a control panel according to their specifications, taking UL guidelines into account. To make this as easy as possible for our customers, we have developed an inquiry form. This allows our customers to get an initial overview of the machinery standards in the USA and understand what information we need for implementation.
How long does it take to receive the quote?
Time is money. We complete 50% of quotes within 24 hours, 95% within 48 hours – depending on the scope. And our quotes are very detailed. This saves a lot of time during implementation because it leads to fewer follow-up questions.
Does KRAYER offer fixed prices?
Yes – always. This provides you with planning certainty and allows you to rely on the calculation.
How does a UL project proceed?
After the order is placed, a briefing will take place with you regarding the individual project steps and deadlines. Then the work begins, and you will receive online updates on the essential steps. This way, you always know the current status of your project.
Which UL standards does KRAYER cover?
KRAYER covers all standards required to commission control cabinets and systems in North and Central America.
- Local regulations/Local Standards, depending on where the system is used in the USA.
- General electrical regulations: NEC
- Electrical system installation: NFPA 79
- Design and manufacture of standard control panels: UL 508A / CSA C22.2 (USA-NITW / CAN-NITW-7)
- Design and manufacture of control panels for hazardous locations:
- with connection to hazardous locations: UL 698A (USA-NRBX / CAN-NRBX-7)
- for use in hazardous locations: UL 1203 (USA-NNNY/ CAN-NNNY-7)
What additional services does KRAYER provide?
We cover four areas:
- We build UL-compliant control cabinets. We also help you implement your entire system in a UL-compliant manner.
- We act as project managers and can also serve as a general contractor with your and our partners, taking care of everything.
- We connect our control cabinet to your system and commission it in the DACH region.
- However, we can also handle the complete shipping to the USA/CAN for you and commission the system at the site there.
