Devices and packaging bearing the CE marking comply with the EN (European Standard) and are subject to compliance with the IEC standard. NEC\/CEC – The Importance of OSHA and NRTLs<\/h3>\n\nIn the United States, the federal agency OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is responsible for federal occupational safety laws and, in accordance with the NEC, requires that electrical equipment and systems be certified by testing agencies<\/strong> known as Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs<\/a>).
